Reminder: F&P Score Entry in STS

Greetings,
This is a friendly reminder that F&P scores for students in grades K-5 are to be entered in STS by this Friday, May 20th.
Please remember that rosters in STS and other systems are directly imported from SILK. If your registrar has inactivated or made updates to teachers in SILK for the current year based on placements for next year then those teacher’s rosters will not show up correctly in STS, MAP, Viewpoint or Pinnacle.

Summer Conference Opportunity

To All Principals,
We are excited to share with you a Summer Conference Opportunity for your teachers. Our district will be sponsoring a two day summer conference presented by Learning Sciences International on July 26 and 27 at the Great Wolf Lodge. There will be no charge for schools to send a group of teachers to this training. Each teacher will have a “scholarship” to attend the conference. This will include all materials from Learning Sciences, a free Marzano book, a messenger bag with KCK logo, additional school supplies, professional development points, and continental breakfast both days. Unfortunately we are not able to pay them for their time; however, we hope that with your help your teachers will see this as an opportunity to learn more about our Instructional Model and provide professional growth to them as a teacher in KCK.
The topics for the training will be Core Instruction and Monitoring for Learning. This will be an opportunity for a group of your teachers to attend the conference and begin to build capacity within your building for our Instructional Model. In the past we have sent teachers and other staff to Florida for training. Our summer conference has been designed specifically for our district and our teachers. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity and encourage teachers to attend the conference on July 26 and 27.
Listed below are the number of teachers you may send from your school and a link to sign-up your teachers. Please submit the names of your teachers who will be attending by Friday, May 20 by completing the following Google Form. High Schools may send 8 teachers
Middle Schools may send 7 teachers
Bridges may send 2 teachers
JDC may send 2 teachers
Elementary schools may send 3 teachers
KCK Early Childhood may send 4 teachers
Morse, North Central, and Earl Watson may send 2 teachers

Due to increase usage of interpreter requests (via over the phone interpretation services) we are unable to fulfill any other requests.
In the future, please call Rosie Rodriguez at 279-2247 for access to over-the-phone interpretation services with information as to the purpose of the call. This facilitates overseeing the budget line item.
