FMLA Leave Entry Changes

From Sherry Samples
We want all employees to be aware of changes they will notice when reporting any type of FMLA leave in AESOP.

Effective immediately, any employee who enters a reason for leave that has FMLA associated with it will receive a notice that their leave is pending approval. There is no further action needed on your part and the leave will automatically be routed to Compliance for approval. If you are reporting an FMLA absence for a time that you are not approved you will receive a denial notice. It is very important for all employees to carefully choose their leave reason and not choose one which has FMLA as a part of it, unless they have received WRITTEN approval for FMLA leave.

Administrative assistants who enter leave should not enter an absence with any FMLA reason unless the supervisor has received the written approval notice for the time period of the absence.

Feel free to contact Sherry Samples or Kathryn Zahn at 279-2153 with specific questions.
