Financing College Nights
From Edward Marquez
KCKPS Seniors and their families have an opportunity to work 1:1 with a financial aid expert on completing the FAFSA and then receiving “Next Step” Advising.
This is an excellent opportunity for students and their families to get timely advice in completing one of the most important steps in planning, deciding, applying and ultimately enrolling in college.
Whether you are eligible or not eligible to complete the FAFSA there are resources and benefits for you and your family to attend one of the financing college night events.
These events are sponsored by KCKPS and the KCK Network for College Opportunity – a collaboration of KCKPS * College Access Partners * Community and Business Organizations * Post-secondary Institutions.
If you have any questions please contact Edward M??rquez at 279-2263.

Reminder-Monthly Board Policy Review
From Jody Mitchell
Provided to you at the start of the school year, the HR Monthly Policy Review listing is attached. As a reminder, please be sure to review the selected Board Policies monthly with your staff. Through December 2017, please continue to review the information as you have in the past and keep record of the training in your buildings. Beginning in January 2018, the remaining Board Policies will be sent to staff via Talent Ed Records, requiring a digital signature for tracking purposes (replacing our current method). Please contact Jody Mitchell or Amy Jo Troyer with questions or concerns.
