Reminder May 24 is a Half Day for 186 Day Staff

May 24 is a short day for all 186 day staff based in school buildings. This is the second half of the day originally worked on January 7. These employees will see adjustments made to their CIS timecard for those who have one. Staff members who work more than 186 days should work their full regularly scheduled shift. No adjustments will be made to >186 day staff timecards. The scheduled work time for the short day is from 8:00 am ??? 12:00 pm. The purpose of the day is to provide time for record prep and building check out. Please check with your executive directors if you have any questions.

Reminder Re: Photography for Graduation

The KCKPS Communications Department will have a representative at each graduation this year. This representative will be taking photos for the district???s website and social media accounts to be used for marketing and journalistic purposes. As a reminder, the Communications Department will not be taking individual graduation photos for students and cannot, as the department does not have the equipment or extra personnel to properly do so.

As before, secondary principals are responsible for hiring and arranging for individual students??? graduation photos.

Attached you will find a flyer to share with your Certified staff who will separate from the District at the close of this contract year. This year we will host a ???District Property Turn-In Day for Certified Employees??? at Central Office. This will give Certified staff the opportunity to return District property to Rm 271 of Central Office between 11a-5p on Friday, May 24th, 2019. Everyone attending the event will need to enter Central Office through the 2nd floor east entrance. We will be available to collect all District provided technology, keys, id badges, key fobs, instructional materials, etc. TIS, Risk Assessment, and HR will be present to assist with checking in and cataloging all returned items as well as answering any final separation questions.

Please note: Any Certified staff not returning to the district for the 2019-2020 school year that are teaching summer school, will need to turn in their district technology equipment on Thursday, June 27th between the hours of 8am-5pm to North Central Office, 2220 N. 59th St, Ste 119 Kansas City, KS 66104. Collection will occur at the TIS Department. North Central Office is the building across the parking lot from Schlagle High School. TIS is down the stairs by the blue awning on the North (left) side of the building. Please buzz the doorbell to be let in.
