K-ELPA Testing Equipment

Since iPads cannot be used for the speaking portion of the assessment, you may utilize your building’s Chromebooks for that purpose.
While our intent is to have maximum availability of technology for instructional use, we did not mean to preclude you from using any of your building’s technology resources where needed, even outside of the grades they were deployed.
We continue to update computer labs, but realistically, we will not get to all those machines prior to the assessment window opening. Since we are now 1:1 at grade levels 3 – 12, and 2:1 at K – 3, there is plenty of equipment available to complete the assessments.

In an effort to make sure you are the first to know, as we recognize staff will come to you with questions, please see the info below which will be sent out to all staff later this morning:
After careful consideration, and invaluable feedback from our staff, we are pleased to announce that employee leave balances have transitioned from the employee pay stub and are now accessible within Aesop/Absence Management. This transition allows you to see your current, real-time leave balance in days and will be available to view 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by logging on to Aesop at https://www.aesoponline.com/login2.asp.
You may access your balances after logging in by selecting “Account” from the top menu bar and selecting “Absence Reason Balances” from the menu options on the left side of the screen. As you continue to utilize Aesop to record your absences, please note that warning messages may appear should you attempt to enter an absence that you do not have any available leave time for. We welcome you to reach out to the Office of Human Resources at 913-279-2262 should you receive an error message that you have a question about.

Due to the missed school day and some minor NWEA glitches after winter break, the MAP test administration window has been extended to Wednesday, January 25th. Please ensure that all testing is completed no later than the 25th. Thank you very much!!!!!
