2018 Open Enrollment New Benefits & Enrollment Process

From Crystal Primers
2018 Employee Benefits Open Enrollment will begin on Monday, October 2 and conclude on Friday, October 27. This is the time to change elections, add or remove family members from coverage and to learn about changes to benefits. These benefit changes will become effective on January 1, 2018.

Because there are several new benefits this open enrollment period, the school district asked our new benefits enrollment partner, BenefitsDirect, to conduct one-on-one meetings to inform staff about these changes and support them enrolling. All employees working 30 or more hours a week are required to attend a one-on-one meeting. If employees do not meet with a counselor and sign up for insurance, they will not have insurance from the District in 2018.

These meetings are scheduled at schools and other District locations for your convenience. See the attached flier for dates representatives will be at these locations. If your worksite location is not listed on the flier, please select from the list the best place for you to attend a one-on-one meeting. Instructions for how to set an appointment along with information about the benefits plans will be sent on Monday, Sept. 11. Please note: Teachers attending one-on-one meetings will have substitute teachers to cover their classrooms.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

If you have questions, please contact Senior Benefits Specialist Crystal Primers at 913.279.2200.

Thank you,

The Benefits Team
