Winter MAP Testing Information
From David Rand
The winter MAP testing window is currently open and will remain open until January 19. All students in grades K-8 are required to test with the exception of ELL Newcomers (exempt from reading; should attempt math if appropriate) and SPED students that take DLM. SPED students that take the general state assessment should participate in MAP with appropriate accommodations that are listed in the IEP and used for the majority of classroom instruction. Please note that while a read-aloud accommodation is allowable for math if it is documented in the IEP and used for the majority of classroom instruction, no part of the reading assessment may be read aloud.
Please note that any test started prior to winter break must be completed before break or the student test will expire and they will have to start over. If you are testing on iPads, please note that Guided Access must be enabled in order for the application to function correctly.
If you experience any technical issues during testing, please e-mail a detailed description of the problem to TIS Support and copy myself, Samantha Bradshaw and Dr. Doug Hager. Please include a detailed description of the problem and include the device type, number of students affected and room number (i.e. I am testing in room 5 at Central Office on Chromebooks and 20 of 25 students are experiencing white screens that cannot be resolved by refreshing the page – internet in room is working and able to access Google home page from teacher laptop).
If you have any questions regarding this information, please do not hesitate to contact myself (913-279-2298), Samantha Bradshaw (913-575-3261) or Dr. Doug Hager (913-832-6707). Thank you very much!!!!

Clarification on Career Cruising
From Lindsey Schneider
In a previous issue of the Administrator’s Notice it was stated that Infinite Campus would replace many programs in our system including Career Cruising. We would like to clarify; Infinite Campus will only replace the ‘Course Planner’ in Career Cruising. Please note, we will still be using the other components of Career Cruising for the students’ Individual Plans of Study. The suggested activities within the Career Cruising Scope and Sequence, with the exception of the Course Planner, is still relevant and viable work our students are expected to complete at each grade-level. Thank you.
