Building False Security Alarms/ Items Hanging From the Ceiling
Principals,
- We have had to respond to several False Security Alarms over the past few weeks
Each false alarm costs the District somewhere around $300.00 dollars per call. - 90% of most false alarms were caused by items hung from the ceiling and its motion tripped building security alarm systems.
Team,
Please refrain from hanging any items from the ceilings to prevent any further false alarms. If you have any questions please Contact Brian Draper @Shop Office. Thank You and We Value your Support!~

Student Teachers to Consider for Hire for 2018-19 School Year
From Carlos Clay
Principals and Directors ???
As you know, one of our many goals in serving our students is to secure the best and the brightest new teacher hires for the coming school year!?? With this in mind, we know that there is a robust pool of student teachers this year that we would like to screen and hire for positions for the coming school year. Now that you have had the opportunity to see them student teach, we would like your feedback on your initial perception of the student teachers that you have placed in your school this year.?? Remember, your student teacher may be considered for your building or for any other vacancy in the district. Please share with me the names of your student teachers, the grade level or content area they are assigned to, and indicate which ones you would hire today if you had the opportunity to secure them.
In fairness, we want to encourage all of our student teachers to fill out an application for consideration.?? Please reach out to all of your student teachers and encourage them to apply in the coming days with KCKPS, if they haven???t done so already, by visiting the ???KCKPS Student Teachers and Student Certified Staff??? application from our employment website??https://kckps.tedk12.com/hire/ViewJob.aspx?JobID=4452.?? Please let them know that we are looking at moving quickly on our potential student teacher hires and that they must have an application on file before we can interview and/or select candidate for hire.
Please let me know by the close of business, Tuesday, February 13, 2018,?? the names of any student teachers that you believe need to be secured as soon as possible with Kansas City Kansas Public Schools.?? If you currently have no student teachers, please simply reply with ???none???.
