Superintendent Search: “30 Qualities Survey” and “District Review Survey”

From Melissa Fears

A communication was sent district-wide on Wednesday, March 28, to staff regarding two surveys (???30 Qualities Survey??? and the ???District Review Survey???) associated with the Superintendent Search. Please make sure your staff saw the email below so they will have an opportunity to complete the surveys. Thank you for your help.

This message is being sent to you on behalf of KCK Board of Education President Brenda C. Jones.

Greetings Staff,

As you may know, Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based company Ray and Associates, Inc., has been selected as the firm to lead the superintendent search for our school district. As part of the process, the consultant is seeking feedback from you on two important surveys. The ???30 Qualities Survey??? focuses on the top 10 characteristics to consider in our superintendent candidates, and the ???District Review Survey??? focuses on the overall impressions of the school district.

We hope you will take the time to complete both surveys, which are available on the homepage of the school district website (www.kckps.org). For your convenience, we have provided links to the English version of both surveys below. ??The surveys are also available on the district website in Spanish, Hmong, and Chinese. Additional translations of the survey are forthcoming.

The feedback you provide on the surveys is extremely valuable in helping to determine the next person to lead our school district.

The survey will be open from Wednesday, March 28 until 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10.

Also, Ray and Associates, Inc. will gather feedback from various stakeholder groups during community input sessions on Thursday, April 5. There will be opportunities for staff to participate in the input sessions. Details will be shared soon.

We will continue to keep you updated as the superintendent search process moves forward. A timeline detailing the process will be posted on the website soon.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
