EC-5 Infinite Campus Gradebook Training for Counselors

from David Rand
There will be a training session for EC-5 school counselors on the Infinite Campus Gradebook on Friday, December 14th. If possible, your Infinite Campus building coach should also attend (we are not able to provide substitutes unfortunately). If the Infinite Campus coach is not able to attend, you can send one other person in addition to your counselor. Early start and EC schools will be from 8:15-9:45 and late start schools will be from 10:00-11:30; both sessions will be in room 131. Each participant will need to bring a fully charged laptop. The majority of time during this training is intended to be Q & A to make sure that all questions people have get answered. If you have any questions regarding this issue, please let me know. Thank you very much!!!!

Gateway to College Referrals Are Being Taken Now

from Donna Devine

High School Administrators, please share this with your staff.

Gateway to College (GtC) Student Referrals (913 621-8715)

GtC is taking applications now for students who want to start GtC second semester. Interested students should not wait for Centralized Alternative High School Enrollment in January.

Students/Parents/Counselors/Administrators, etc. may call directly to Juan Rangel, GtC Director at 913 621-8715 to begin the application process. Or, they may visit the GtC office at Donnelly College, 608 N18th ST, KCK. The college will be closed over Winter Holiday Break, so it is important students contact GtC soon.

GtC students attend Donnelly classes and receive both high school and college credit for the classes they pass. There is no fee to students for the college credits they earn. A team of GtC Resource Specialists and Staff provide academic, social and emotional support to students.

To be eligible for consideration, students must have accrued a minimum of 10 high school credits and be credit deficient. Students who have dropped out of school are eligible and encouraged to apply. Student must be able to complete their high school diploma by the age of 21.

This is a great opportunity for KCKPS students. Please consider students who may be eligible and encourage them to apply.

Electronic Sign Up for December 21 District Professional Development

from Shelly Beech

As we continue to utilize the Frontline Professional Growth System for monitoring our Professional Development activities throughout the district, it has become apparent that we need to move to online sign in for all staff.

Beginning December 21 in our District PD sessions, all staff will be required to sign in electronically to the Frontline Professional Growth system for attendance and completion. There will not be an opportunity to sign a paper sheet for attendance, so it is imperative that all staff know how to log in. With that being said, we know that some individuals will need to update and merge the two Frontline Systems (AESOP and Professional Growth). We may also have individuals who may have forgotten their user name and passwords due to lack of use. We are asking that all IDP representatives at each building make sure that all staff are able to sign in to Frontline Professional Growth prior to the December 21 District Professional Development.

Also we have attached a video explaining how to sign up for the PD activities and how to mark them complete. Please make sure that all of you staff have the video prior to the December 21 professional development. Also we will be sending information to IDP reps on how to merge accounts in case there are staff who have not yet merged their accounts. For the December 21 District PD, the district PD activities will be listed in the PG system at least two days in advance. Individuals will need to go into the system prior to December 21 and sign up. If you have any questions, please contact Ana Perez- Sievert at 279-2314 or ana.perez-sievert@kckps.org.
