STAR Teacher Nomination Packets Due January 14, 2016

Hi All,

Many thanks to all of you that have provided the name of the Teacher from your building that you would like to nominate as STAR Teacher for 2016.

The next step in the process is for the teachers to start completing the nomination packet with your assistance. I’ve attached a copy nomination packet for your reference and it will be emailed to the teachers under separate cover.

Mileage Reimbursement Rate Change

For those individuals who file for mileage reimbursements, note that the mileage rate has changed from $.575 to $.54 per mile. This changed is effective January 1, 2016.

This adjustment has been made on the standardized district form. This can be found on the district website here. It is interactive in your ability to fill in the data and get calculated totals. It can be printed and submitted. Please make sure that associated signatures are complete and legible. Be sure to provide addresses for non-district locations. Using an incorrect form or incomplete or illegible signatures will be reasons it may be returned to you.

Purchase Order Cancellation

Note that all purchase orders with an open encumbrance in the District???s current financial software (Business Plus) will be cancelled shortly after they have been open and/or unpaid or partially paid after 90 calendar days. Note that on Monday, January 11th, the Purchasing Department will be closing all open PO???s that were issued prior to October 1, 2015. This will be in compliance with the District guideline of ninety (90) day open term for all purchase orders.

There are multiple reports BusinessPlus that will provide you with dating information on open orders.
