Bully Site Action Plans

from Sean DeMaree
This year the Kansas Bully Awareness week will take place the week of October 9th, with the theme of ???choose peace???. As we work towards creating safe and respectful schools, we also need to think about our Bully Site Action Plans. Bully site Action Plans/Suicide Prevention Plans serve the purpose to promote strategies and preventions for students and staff aligned with districts priorities and goals, as well as meeting the requirements of KSA 72-8256 and the Jason Flatts Act. For ideas on prevention and awareness, visit RedCardKC.com or StopBullying.gov. Bully Site Action Plans/Suicide Prevention Plans are due on October 31, 2019, and should be submitted to Sean DeMaree. If you need any support with strategies and/or writing your plans, contact Sean DeMaree by phone: 913-627-2631 or email: sean.demaree@kckps.org.

Annual Inventory Reporting

from Beth Porter
Thank you to all Administrators and staff for the 2018 – 2019 completion of the Building Inventory List.

Annual audits of district owned inventory and federally purchased assets is critical for compliance, insurance purposes and District wide management of surplus & disposals.

To promote consistency and ease of process, an Annual Inventory Reporting Cycle has been implemented for each building and department.
This reporting cycle provides annual deadlines for when each Administrator is to complete and turn in their building / department inventory list.

To begin this process, the following documents are provided:

1. Instructions to complete annual inventory list
2. Building Inventory List Form
3. Annual Inventory Report Deadlines

For auditing purposes, we ask that all Administrators complete your Building Inventory List using the Inventory List form (excel doc) as provided by the Risk Assessment department.

Contact Beth Porter or JaNia Motley with any questions you may have. Thank you!
