Title IX Process Reminders
from Lisa Walker
Thanks for your engagement at last week’s professional learning around Title IX and the School Improvement Process.
As Title IX incidents (based on conduct of a sexual/gender bias nature) occur, please remember to take the following steps:
1. After taking the initial incident report and conducting a preliminary assessment to understand what level of seriousness you’re dealing with, complete the Title IX Incident Report form.
2. Email the form to titleix@kckps.org and COPY your IIO and building principal (if assistant principal is completing the form). NOTE CHANGE IN EMAIL ADDRESS from directions shared at last week’s meeting.
3. If initial assessment indicates a little “i”, start your investigation and proceed as usual. Bridgette or I will check in with you regarding your process and strategize to make sure we’ve got everything covered and you have the support you need.
Forms are in the shared drive and the Reporting and Investigation Procedures document has been updated to include the titleix@kckps.org email address, as well as Lisa’s MOBILE number.
The shared drive also includes a PDF of the Prezi used at last week’s sessions. (Reporting and Investigation Procedures document, as well as the Title IX Incident Report Form are attached for easy access.)
Please look for the Flowchart and Investigation Template to follow soon.
We appreciate YOU and call if you have any questions.
