National School Lunch Week

From Josh Mathiasmeier
National School Lunch week is October 10-14. The theme this year is “Show Your School Lunch Spirit.” In accordance with this theme, Nutritional Services will have a “Spirit” Lunch-O-Meter that will measure the number of lunches that each site serves next week. During the week, the Meal-O-Meter will be filled up to show the progress towards the goal. If the school meets the goal, all students will get a treat the following week. Please join us in celebrating National School Lunch Week with your school spirit and lunch participation. Have a healthy day!

ESOL Technology

From Kristen Scott
Principals,
If you have technology that was purchased by ESL funds in the past that you are wanting to get rid of, please fill out a work order and have it sent to our department at the Central Office. Many of you have reached out to me about the Smart Boards, I-Touch devices and such that you are not using due to the new technology provided by the district.
We would need for this equipment to be sent to us by no later than the end of this month. After that we will not be collecting it and it will remain in your building.
If you have questions or concerns please email me.

ELPA21 Results-Update

From Kristen Scott
Administrators,
The following information was emailed to your ESL staff:
I wanted to update all of you concerning information I learned today in the monthly ESOL webinar put on by the state.
Cut scores and performance categories were approved by the ELPA21 Consortium and sent to Questar yesterday. Questar now has to put that information into all of the testing data on individual students; once that is done the data will be sent to CETE. Once CETE has all of the information uploaded and configured the data will be released to KSDE. So what that all means now is that it might be November until we get the results.
Please remember that for students who were with us and already had an ILP, we are continuing with that ILP. You are creating new ILPs for any new student into our system.
If I am notified that this may change I will let you all know. Until then if you have any questions please let me know.
