School Websites – Important Information

from Mike Keener

By May 31, all schools will have an active, up-to-date website.

In order to expedite this (as there are 48-49 school websites that have to be up-to-date and with matching website themes) , all schools must either update their existing sites (assuming that you or your school webmaster(s) have access to your existing site), OR send Mike Keener a Word Document with all requested information/data (and any necessary photos) no later than Thursday, May 16, 2019.

When you’ve finished updating your website, email Mike Keener once you have updated your existing site, so he knows it’s ready to go live with the new design.

Attached here is a Word Document outlining what we need for each school’s website, in case you have not yet received it.

If you are having issues with adding pages/content to your existing site, feel free to contact Mike Keener and send him what you need to be added to your site.

Lastly, thank you to the schools that have already sent their information/data.

Interested in Learning More about STEM Programing in KCKPS? Interested in Grant Writing?

from Jen Holt
KCKPS and NEA-KCK recently received a small planning grant that will enable us to apply for a district wide STEM Grant for the purpose of making our current STEAM Programing more cohesive. We have a very short turn around and are looking for people who can commit about 30 hours (paid at $20.72) across May and June. We???ll provide a couple informational/training sessions during the day prior to summer break and multiple meetings during the summer (weekdays). There will also be expectations for individual research. At this point, you do not need to have knowledge around our current STEM programming. We are looking to get a wide variety of perspectives from across the district, all are welcome to apply. If you???re interested, please fill out this form by Friday, May 3rd.
